Hi, I'm Jennifer, owner and lead designer at Petals a floral design firm in Boulder, Colorado.  Along with my husband and two children, I  grow my own organic blooms using the greenest and most sustainable processes available.

This blog is where I explore topics from floral design, wedding planning, organic farming and gardening, sustainable living, and our family's quest to find the perfect farm!

I'm so glad you are here!

Garden Secret's - Summer: June/July/August

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

What's Growing On.....100% of these flowers were grown in Boulder, CO...BY US!

The summer is positively flying by! Given that its garden season, I've spent far more time outdoors than behind my computer (#goals)! I have also been prepping for two new workshops coming up that I am SUPER excite for! Here is the link:

Both workshops will be held in our sunny and plant filled design studio and include all materials and instructions to make a sunning flower arrangement. I'm excited this go around to offer TWO different event times: a" happy hour" on Saturday night and a "mimosa morning" on Sunday. With all the fantastic blooms the garden is pumping out, this is SURE to be a great series of events. I'm also SUPER excited because we finally replaced th garden gate with a larger gate that will allow us to get the flower cart in the back yard so it can be a part of the events!

We put a new, bigger gate leading into the back garden so our adorable flower cart can make an appearance at the workshops! Seriously, imagine a magical summer evening (or morning) spent with friends, selecting garden-grown flowers from the flower cart and designing your very own masterpiece to take home, all while sipping a cool drink... Now make that fantasy a reality by reserving your spot at the next workshop--I'd love to see you there!

Here are some fun collages I've made of the thing's

we've been harvesting from the garden over the last 2.5 months.

Ours is defiantly a May and August Garden so in many ways, the best is yet to come!
