Floral Design Workshop - Summer

In late August we hosted two sold-out floral design workshops! They were SO much flower-filled fun!
Saturday night we filled the design studio with fellow flower lovers
and new friends.
Over a glass of bubbly and yummy appetizers we learned the ins and outs of color play.

A new, larger gate leading to the cutting gardens and greenhouse allowed us to bring the flower cart out back for the event.
A small improvement long-coming. The flower cart will now be able to make an appearance at all future workshops, parties, and private events!
The weather was perfection!

Choices, choices.
The cart was absolutely over-flowing with seasonal blooms!

Our cutting garden is definitely a May/August garden so the blooms were popping -- our participants did not have to be asked twice to stroll the gardens, clippers in hand, looking for inspiration and ingredients for their arrangements.
I firmly believe that flowers are, by nature, beautiful.
Designs should, therefore, not be too constrained by rules but should be done freely and provide a reflection of the unique individual doing the designing! I loved seeing all of the unexpected and stunning designs participants created.
